About Deanna Flinn:
Deanna’s passion for sewing denim started in high school—so much so, she broke her first sewing machine. Growing up in Halifax, she developed a love for thrifting and upcycling, hunting for vintage finds at church bazaars and yard sales. A photographer from a family of makers, Deanna blends her love for repurposing with creativity, previously selling her art-infused thrifted clothing before shifting to sustainable fashion design.
A few years ago, she scored 100 pairs of damaged Levi’s on Facebook Marketplace and transformed them into the unique, hand-sewn designs featured in this collection. With help from collaborators, she brought her vision to life despite physical challenges from years of hand sewing. Deanna believes sustainable fashion is essential and hopes her designs inspire you to rethink how you buy and wear clothes. All pieces shown are available for purchase at REVIVAL after the show.
